Terminal 21: The Only Mall in the World that Will Take You Around the World

Our second day in Bangkok, Thailand was spent by visiting Terminal 21. Based on my research, Terminal 21 is one of the famous shopping malls in Bangkok having a large number of privately owned shops plus this mall has this concept of having unique themes per floor that’s why it’s really a must visit.

    How to Get There?

Just take the BTS Skytrain going to Asok Station and direct access the skywalk going to the mall. Easy access right?

    BTS Skytrain

What Makes Terminal 21 Differ from Other Malls?

Terminal 21 is very modern. Each floor is named and decorated after an International destination plus they have exceptional restrooms per floor and excellent food outlets.

I really fell in love with this mall because of their:

    • Themed Floors. One of the best things about Terminal 21 is that each floor’s designs are based from key cities worldwide. Each level is themed according to the country/city it represents.
      1. Lower Ground (Caribbean) – It is where you will find the Supermarket.
      2. Ground (Rome) – This floor consists almost entirely of high-end clothing stores.
      3. M Floor (Paris) – Get beautified on this floor because this is where you will find The Body Shop and Victoria’s Secret.
      4. First Floor (Tokyo) – This floor is for women’s clothing.
      5. Second Floor (London) – This floor houses athletic stores.
      6. Third Floor (Istanbul) – This floor is definitely the most random of the entire mall. It houses bags, shoes and house decors.
      7. Fourth and Fifth Floor (San Francisco) – If you want to fill in your tummies, fourth ad fifth floors are the answer.
      8. Sixth Floor (Hollywood) – This floor houses cinemas and fitness first gym.

    Ground Floor – Rome

    Sixth Floor – Hollywood

    • Toilet Facilities. Even their restrooms are exceptional! Who would imagine you’ll      get the chance to travel the world right at Terminal 21’s very own restrooms? Check out these photos:

Japanese inspired restroom at first floor

Restroom at Fifth Floor (San Francisco)

    • International Fashion Outlets. Ground floor of Terminal 21 houses international fashion brands like Nike, Kipling, Adidas, H&M, Uniqlo and Levis.
    • Food Court. You will find inside Terminal 21 the best and cheapest food court in town. You can score dishes at around THB 30.

Umbrellas, wet shoes, and traffic; no doubt that the rainy season has officially arrived. and given on this scenario, normal activities such as eating out, watching movies, or hanging out with friends become more difficult and staying in gets even more tempting. Fortunately, we can now do almost everything online, from movie streaming, shopping, and even ordering food! This is made possible by the increasing number of mobile apps today offering digital services like foodpanda.

Foodpanda entered the Philippine market in 2014 and now one of the world’s leading online food delivery platform that enables users to access a variety of restaurants from their mobile phones or desktop computer. With this app, people don’t need to wait in traffic or restaurant queues anymore, their food cravings are always just a few clicks away..

Visit www.foodpanda.ph or download the app to order! The foodpanda app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

    How to use the app?

Just follow these simple 8 steps!2

Users can opt to use their current location or set it to place where they want the food to be delivered if they’re planning to send it to a friend or family member; the app will then give a list of restaurants within  3 kilometer radius (this is to ensure that the food will be in mint condition upon arrival).

Foodpanda has over 1,000 partner restaurants in Metro Manila and Cebu. From Japanese, to Chinese, to American, to Mediterranean, whatever cuisine you’re craving for, foodpanda will be there to satisfy your cravings.

The prices of the menu items as well as the minimum order are shown in the app. Users are also notified regarding promos offered by the restaurants.

You can go back and add 1, or 2, or 5 more items to your basket. Note that, for most restaurants, the delivery charge is just P59.00 no matter how much your total food bill is.

You can also input specific delivery instructions.

9Depending on the restaurant, foodpanda accepts cash on delivery and online payment via all major credit cards and paypal.

Click on Place Order and patiently wait for your order to arrive. The app has a timer that automatically starts once you place an order. The default waiting time is 60 minutes after the restaurant has confirmed receipt of your order and if you have other concerns, you can talk to a customer service representative via the Live Chat function both in the app and desktop site.

Now that everything is accessible online, people can order through the app and just wait for their food to be delivered at home. You can eat your favorite food without the hassle of going out, stream and play your favorite movies and shows while waiting, and relax with loved ones all at the comfort of your home. There’s no need to brave the storm and draining traffic this rainy season. Yes, with foodpanda, it’s easier to just #EatPlayLove.

It’s Man vs. Ape with Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes

I am not really fond of watching movies in cinemas most especially if it’s action. I rather download or get a copy of romantic movies from a friend  and watch it during weekend on my bed with popcorn, some snacks plus blanket but I don’t know why did I immediately say yes to an invitation from a friend (Hazel Vinluan) for an exclusive movie screening in Powerplant Mall Cinema and that movie is War for the Planet of the Apes which I know in myself that it is an action, adventure and drama movie. Good thing I did the right choice to accept the invite because I really love the story though I wasn’t able to watch the first two installments. I can say that this movie is very intense and incredible and it blew me away.

The war of man versus ape continues to rage on as Mossimo, one of the country’s favorite casual wear brands, kicks off the Fall 2017 season with a capsule collection featuring its first collaboration with FOX International through Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes.

    MossimoXPlanetoftheApes Logo

“Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes is a celebration of our partnership with FOX International and the first of many in our planned series of collaborations with popular stylists and big name brands,” shares Alex Bautista, Mossimo’s VP for Product. “With the Planet of the Apes franchise having created a cult following and being a box office success not only in Hollywood but around the world, we felt like the look and feel of the movie would greatly complement our upcoming Fall 2017 collection.”

The capsule collection features a line of comfy tees and pullovers, 100% cotton unisex tops, with eight graphic designs that continue to tell the tale of the ongoing battle between the humans and their primate counterparts. Poignant scenes and iconic, artful slogans from the movie are the highlights and will definitely catch the eyes of faithful Planet of the Apes fans and Mossimo aficionados alike.

    jamilajoyce.com mossimo 4

Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes is also a perfect match to the brand’s Fall 2017 collections, aptly named “Jungle Book” and “Re-volution.”  A fun update to safari-inspired clothing, the collections play around with earthy tones, black camou, and fatigue prints that are not only up to trend but also extremely comfortable and wearable. Pieces are still reminiscent of streetwear but offer that high street look and feel that avid Mossimo fans know and love.

“Our Fall 2017 collections, “Jungle Book” and “Re-volution” focus on items that are not traditional Mossimo apparel that have been offered before,” continues Bautista. “This is another experimental move that we feel will not only benefit the brand, but will further establish Mossimo as a flexible and relevant addition to your lifestyle.”

The new Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes collection will be available in select Mossimo stores this July 2017. For more information on Mossimo and their latest collections, you may follow Wear Mossimo on Facebook and @WearMossimo on Instagram.

Watsons #GetActive Campaign Shows It Can Be Easy To Stay Healthy

In a research conducted by Watsons Insights on Shoppers Experience (WISE), a research division of the world’s largest international health and beauty retailer A.S. Watson Group, 66 percent of Filipinos believe they have good knowledge on health, however surprisingly, 57 percent do not exercise regularly to stay healthy. This shows majority of Filipinos are interested on health. But, there are so many things that get in their way from staying healthy. Either they get too busy or get too tired from a hectic work schedule, family duties, household chores and long hours of traffic.

    Watsons Get Active Key Visual

That’s why Watsons, the leading health and beauty chain in the country, launches #GetActive campaign to inspire Filipinos to be healthy through small, everyday active changes in their routine to improve their health. To be healthy doesn’t necessarily mean doing major changes and adjustments in our lives like starting to train as a tri-athlete, spend 2 hours in the gym 3 to 5 times a week, own a fancy health equipment at home, spend thousands of pesos on healthy meals or cook difficult or time-consuming healthy recipes.

“Watsons #GetActive campaign is one of our continuous efforts and part of our commitment to improve the lives and health of Filipinos by inspiring them to take small steps to improve their health,” says Watsons Marketing Director Viki Encarnacion. “Small steps such as drinking more water, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, taking deep breaths in between work e-mails, walking from one building to another instead of riding a car or taxi if it’s just in the same area, walking your dog during weekends, and smiling more often can go a long way for our health. The list of small steps which we can do is endless, our days are full of opportunities to do these and Watsons can be their partner to improve their health” adds Encarnacion.

Watsons also recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to health. Aside from healthy diet and exercise, taking vitamins is also important. Vitamins bridges the nutrient gap people don’t get in their regular diet and lifestyle, and can help prevent illnesses.

There are different types of vitamins available and formulated to fulfill different nutritional needs. Some of them are:

    • Vitamin A for immunity, vision and healthy skin
    • Vitamin B complex for energy production
    • Vitamin C for immunity and protection against diseases
    • Vitamin E for cell damage repair or prevention and for healthy skin.

At Watsons, there are different brands and products available to fulfill every individual’s nutritional needs depending on age, gender and preferred form – such as Enervon, Conzace, Ceelin, Revicon, Myra E, Centrum, Stresstabs, Berocca, Rogin E, Fern C and Watsons Generics.

To further encourage its shoppers, Watsons is offering up to 20 percent off on select vitamins for select period of time in stores. And for its loyal members, Watsons is offering customers a chance to win trips to Bali, Guam or Sydney, or win an iPhone 7 or iPad for a min P500 single-receipt purchase of select vitamins and health products. Promo runs until June 28, 2017 and is exclusive to SM Advantage, SM Prestige, PRiMO and BDO Rewards Card holders. Promo is in partnership with Hutchgo.com and Philippine Airlines.
