I am not really fond of watching movies in cinemas most especially if it’s action. I rather download or get a copy of romantic movies from a friend and watch it during weekend on my bed with popcorn, some snacks plus blanket but I don’t know why did I immediately say yes to an invitation from a friend (Hazel Vinluan) for an exclusive movie screening in Powerplant Mall Cinema and that movie is War for the Planet of the Apes which I know in myself that it is an action, adventure and drama movie. Good thing I did the right choice to accept the invite because I really love the story though I wasn’t able to watch the first two installments. I can say that this movie is very intense and incredible and it blew me away.
The war of man versus ape continues to rage on as Mossimo, one of the country’s favorite casual wear brands, kicks off the Fall 2017 season with a capsule collection featuring its first collaboration with FOX International through Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes.

The capsule collection features a line of comfy tees and pullovers, 100% cotton unisex tops, with eight graphic designs that continue to tell the tale of the ongoing battle between the humans and their primate counterparts. Poignant scenes and iconic, artful slogans from the movie are the highlights and will definitely catch the eyes of faithful Planet of the Apes fans and Mossimo aficionados alike.
Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes is also a perfect match to the brand’s Fall 2017 collections, aptly named “Jungle Book” and “Re-volution.” A fun update to safari-inspired clothing, the collections play around with earthy tones, black camou, and fatigue prints that are not only up to trend but also extremely comfortable and wearable. Pieces are still reminiscent of streetwear but offer that high street look and feel that avid Mossimo fans know and love.
“Our Fall 2017 collections, “Jungle Book” and “Re-volution” focus on items that are not traditional Mossimo apparel that have been offered before,” continues Bautista. “This is another experimental move that we feel will not only benefit the brand, but will further establish Mossimo as a flexible and relevant addition to your lifestyle.”

Mobile technology brand OPPO announced in a gala held at Chaos Nightclub, City of Dreams Manila last Saturday night, February 18 that they will be the major sponsor of the Philippines’ Next Top Model (PNTM): High Street, the latest incarnation of the model search’s Philippine franchise.
The grand gala was hosted by former Binibining Pilipinas-World, Maggi Wilson-Consunji which will be one of the judges together with the Preview Creative Director Vince Uy, celebrity stylist Rain Dagala and the President of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines, Raf Kiefer.
Oppo have already partnered with America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) for Cycle 22 that aired in 2015, wherein contestants were given selfie challenges using the camera features, such as beautify, double exposure, and panorama.
“America’s Next Top model was a worldwide sensation that several countries had their own edition of the internationally renowned television contest. We are proud to be part of this show’s new Philippine edition,” said OPPO Philippines Brand Marketing Manager Stephen Cheng. “Like the brand’s collaboration with the team behind America’s Next Top Model, we hope to be just as successful here in the country.”
“This is also an opportunity for us to show the other side of the OPPO brand which puts prime on fashion and lifestyle,” he added.
